All requests for admission to Local 477 – including new applicants, transfers in and applicants accepted via an organizing drive; and applicants for reinstatement after expulsion, transfer out, or Honorable Withdrawal – must be accompanied by a complete application. Applications for transfer in or reinstatement after expulsion must be reviewed by the executive board at its regularly scheduled monthly meeting prior to being granted “pending” status. The executive board reserves the right to require a personal interview with any applicant for reinstatement who has been expelled from or previously transferred out of Local 477. When returning from Honorable Withdrawal Any member who has taken an Honorable Withdrawal from Local 477 (or another IA local) and wishes to return will be required:

* Note that the secretary-treasurer must be apprised that the administrative fee has been received before beginning any research of the reinstatement request. Please be advised that, per Article Nine of the I.A.T.S.E. Local 477 Constitution and Bylaws, “expelled members may be refused readmission or reinstatement to the Alliance for a certain fixed period or indefinitely.” Any member experiencing severe financial hardship is encouraged to contact his/her regional or at- large executive board member and make application for relief to the full board. No special payment arrangements can be made without a hearing and decision by the board.
