Why Join IATSE Local 477

To individuals not currently a member of IATSE 477:

Thank you for allowing me to take this opportunity to introduce the IATSE organization to you, and more specifically Florida’s representative body IATSE Local 477.

Included in our membership we have Oscar and Emmy award winners, recognized by the entertainment industry as the finest in the business.

Our organization was instrumental in the passing of the Florida Film Incentive Act and is working to improve this legislation, providing financial incentives to shoot in Florida.  These incentives will help promote Florida in the International market of film, commercial and video production, providing more employment opportunities to all Floridians.

IATSE Local 477 is a 501 3c not for profit organization and is recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Florida Department of Revenue.  However we do incur administrative costs while providing the services and employee representation you desire.  These expenses are paid by the membership through quarterly dues (stamps), and work assessments.

Payments are accepted by mail, our PayPal account online (available soon), or credit card over the phone.

IATSE 477 has no restrictions or limitations regarding members working for “non-union” employers.  We do encourage our membership to notify us of their current employment status so that we may better represent them.

The following information explains how to join IATSE Local 477.  If you have any questions, email Fred Moyse at fmoyse@ia477.org or call us at (800) 423-6477.
